The Digital Ocean – Ireland’s Marine Engineering & Technology Conference, will be held as part of SeaFest 2017, from 8.00am - 5.00pm on Thursday 29th of June in the Bailey Allen Hall, NUI Galway. The event is being organised by IDA Ireland, Enterprise Ireland, the Irish Maritime Development Office, the Marine Institute, the Sustainable Energy Authority of Ireland and Science Foundation Ireland, with the support of the Marine Development Team. Attendance is free of charge.

This event will build on the success of the inaugural Digital Ocean conference in 2016 and will highlight how technology companies are driving new forms of innovation in Ireland’s blue economy. Ireland is internationally recognised as a leading hub for marine technology innovation due to its significant marine resource, its leading technology expertise and its world-class test-bed infrastructures. This conference will feature a selection of international marine technology companies; innovative Irish SMEs; and Ireland's world-class technology and research centres. The programme will focus on specific opportunities for technology innovations to drive the global blue economy.

A two day Marine Trade Show will take place in a purpose-built marquee on the grounds of NUI Galway, to coincide with the Digital Ocean conference and the Our Ocean Wealth Summit, which takes places on Friday, 30th June. The Trade Show will showcase some of the highly innovative products and services emerging from companies from the Irish Marine Industry Network.

We are delighted to invite participants at the Digital Ocean conference to a networking and drinks reception following the conference at 4.00pm on 29th June in the Marine Trade Show venue to celebrate the creation of the Network over recent months by Enterprise Ireland, with the support of other agencies and the Marine Development Team.
